The Birthgiver
The Birth-Giver
When this world seems unworldly and our dreams come crashing down with no sign of a silver lining and we are just stuck in midst of black clouds, the first person we turn to is our mother - THE BIRTH-GIVER.
There’s a sense of security that no one can offer but the mothers, they shower us with the most selfless love, from waking up before dawn just to pack our lunch boxes to tucking us into the bed every night, from dealing with our lame tantrums with a smile to trying to bring that smile on our faces as well, and from simply putting our big dreams ahead of their simple wishes to being there every step of the way in our journey of making those dreams come true, moms put in their efforts knowing that they would often go unnoticed. They never demand appreciation but that doesn’t take away from the fact that they deserve to be appreciated for all those little gestures of love that we never even asked for...mothers are a blessing in disguise, their loyalty towards us starts from our first breath and ends at her last. The way this society has willingly held itself back from acknowledging their sheer faithfulness towards their unsaid “duties” for years is just saddening. In this modern world where women are finally rising on their own, fighting and thriving for their dreams, working professionally and simultaneously managing to provide the purest form of care to their children and constantly trying to keep their families intact, we all need to realise the IMPORTANCE of a mother and motherhood.
Mothers who contribute the most to this society are expected to stay immured by the same society! It's high time that we start acknowledging the gravity of motherhood and its struggles. They start working hard to become independent even though some people don't allow them to do so, some fail and are forced to lead a mundane life and some succeed and are still expected to lead a life they don't want, they bleed every month for almost half of their lives, go through the unimaginable pain of giving birth to a whole new human being and then absorb all the pain from their children again, all of this just to feel neglected and unimportant?
Imagine your life without her. You can't even imagine, right? Some are literally living that nightmare, so while you have these angles on Earth, appreciate them, love them back, help them break stereotypes and grow and if you are not willing to do that, then the least you can do is stop being a huddle in their way. This Mother's day, gain some perspective and shower your mothers with apologies that are due, love that they deserve and just sheer gratefulness!!!
